“ Out huckleberry picking the other day and stopped in for lunch. The cook arrives at noon! Good service, great food and good beer on tap! I had the fish tacos and my wife had the Philly and the fries are amazing! ”
“ Mostly locals in for a beer in a tiny mountain town so we were surprised with the fish tacos that bested any we have had anywhere. Thick sweet fish, homemade salsa, perfect. Prices were not on the menu but turned out to be about 16 per order. There were no vegetarian options which could be a deal breaker for strict vegetarians. ”
“ My dreamy husband and I found this little gem of a restaurant on our way back from taking the Gardner caves tour. Carol is super friendly, and took a genuine interest in why we had kayaks in our truck if we hadn't been kayaking (a story for another day). Anyhoo We had cheeseburgers and fries. The beef patties were as thick as my finger, well seasoned and cooked through. It came with all the deluxe fixings and a heaping side of fries (hand cut for my dreamy husband because he says there's nothing better). He says it's THE BEST burger he's had in ages and, considering he's a chef, that's really saying something. It's a little out of the way, but we plan on making the Western Star Bar & Grill a regular stop when we're in northeast Washington. ”

“ This is my second time at this restaurant. We called ahead to make sure they were open. When we asked if we could bring dogs and sit on the deck, we pulled up and the owner, Carol, was putting up umbrellas and a bowl of water for our dogs for us. Carol is a vivacious and gregarious individual. She sat and joked with us and shared stories about the history of her place. We ordered fish tacos and shrimp tacos and fish and chips. She also brought us chips and homemade salsa. Everything was delicious and made fresh. My sister was nicknamed "One Taco " by Carol and now we call her "O.T." this is a great place to stop in and have a drink and something to eat when you're on a motorcycle ride or returning from a day on the river. There's a shuffle board table and pool table inside too. I highly recommend this place for you. ”
